About me
I am an Industry-Government-Academia Collaborative Research Fellow at the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, Japan. I am currently a member of the Shimizu Laboratory.
I obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in March 2023.
My research deliverables are mainly in the fields of intelligent robotics and smart agriculture. Furthermore, I also focus on deep learning-based image processing.
Recently, I developed a novel mobile robot for crop monitoring in greenhouses.
Because there were no similar robots for sale, I made the novel robot by hand. (click ► to play)
It features a monitoring range that can cover all crops in greenhouses.
Using the novel robot, I proposed a tomato disease monitoring system that automatically monitors tomatoes and warns about diseased ones in greenhouses.
The animation below illustrates its working process. (click ► to play)
In brief, the system automatically patrols the greenhouse, monitors the tomato plants, detects diseased tomatoes, and reports them to the user.
Besides the research, I am also very interested in DIY. Examples include a nixie tube&wireless charging clock, and a remote robot used for playing with a cat, etc. (Check)
